Bennett Architectural were asked to provide the aluminium glazing solutions for a new Category C resettlement prison located in Wellingborough: HMP Five Wells.
The new build project is part of an ambition to modernise the prison estate to create a safer, more efficient and rehabilitative environment.
The project involved the use of Modern Methods of Construction such as DfMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly).
This made early engagement with the contractor for the project, Kier, essential for the project’s progression.
Our contribution to the scheme included the design and install of Kawneer’s AA100 Curtain Walling and non-cell window and door systems.
All of the products we supplied for the project were required to meet the MoJ’s high specifications and security standards without compromising on the amount of light and performance afforded by the glazing.
