The landmark Manchester Cancer Research Centre demonstrates how geometric expanses of glazing contribute to the aesthetic appeal of the overall building design.

Within the Cancer Research Centre in Manchester, a combination of Kawneer’s AA100 SSG and Pilkington Planar screens facilitate a light and airy ambience to the building interior.

This prestigious project, the vision for which was to facilitate the development of personalised cancer treatments, presented many logistical and technical challenges for the team.

Despite this, our hard work, technical skill and experience helped us to deliver the project to the client on time and we are delighted to have contributed to such an important facility at the Christie Hospital site.

The new research building will ensure that the MCRC provides outstanding opportunities and a vibrant environment for researchers, clinicians and external partners to work collaboratively towards this vision through a single-site ‘bench to bedside’ approach.
