Bennett Architectural were asked to provide the architectural aluminium glazing solutions to the lift shaft of Airport City Manchester’s new pedestrian and cycle bridge.
The bridge, which spans the M56, was rolled into place overnight by the contractor BCEGI.
Our contribution to the project included the fabrication and install of Pilkington Planar’s bolted glazing to the lift shaft attached to the bridge.
The project reached completion in October 2020 and now provides an essential connection between Airport City and the residential area of Wythenshawe.
