Bennett Architectural were chosen to supply and install glazing, doors and curtain walling for the new Jaguar Land Rover Pentland showroom at Newcraighall, Edinburgh.
The project required a mix of Kawneer AA540 architectural windows, AA100 curtain walling and doors as well as Pilkington Planar bolted glazing.
This facility provides a large showroom split between two brands: Jaguar and Land Rover.
Additionally, the impressive site includes a 12 car workshop with an MOT and Fast-fit bay, a ten-car showroom and sixty-five used car display area.
The site now faces Whitehill Road and provides a strong presence to the streetscape.
The work carried out by the Bennett Architectural team and close collaboration across the supply chain has led to the overall design now encapsulating the latest Jaguar Land Rover corporate Identity.
The construction of the Jaguar Land Rover Pentland showroom was part of a series of projects that we worked on alongside Jaguar Land Rover in an effort to modernise their facilities to bring them in line with their new corporate identity.
Chris Clark, Managing Director of John Clark, said:
“This significant investment is justified by the performance of Jaguar Land Rover in Edinburgh. Working very closely with the manufacturer, we have put considerable thought into the design of the building.”
The showroom, which took nine months to build, was developed by Robertson Construction and designed by architects McLaren, Murdoch & Hamilton.
