The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire has been shortlisted in the Project of the Year (over £30m) at the Construction News Awards 2018.

Bennett Architectural worked alongside Galliford Try to design, supply and install Kawneer AA100 windows and AA720 curtain walling systems and achieve one of the highest levels of acoustic attentuation in the world.

This award recognises construction teams who deserve recognition for their high standard of work, adherence to budget and client satisfaction in a healthy and safe working environment.

Lionel Grant, Managing Director at Bennett Architectural commented,

“The Birmingham Conservatoire project was a different kind of project for Bennetts, with acoustic technical challenges which our team made light work of.

“This is the second award the project has been nominated for recently, which highlights the quality work completed by Galliford Try and by our team.”

The £57m purpose built Royal Birmingham Conservatoire opened its doors to the public in September 2017 and is ready to host the world’s best musicians.

Winners of the Construction News Awards will be announced at a ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Thursday 12th July.
