The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire has been shortlisted for Cultural Project of the Year at the Architects Journal Architecture Awards 2018.

This is the second award the Conservatoire has been nominated for from the Architects Journal, having previously been shortlisted for the Project of the Year category in the AJ Awards.

It continues a lucrative year for the project having already being announced as a contender for the Construction News Awards and winning RIBA West Midlands Project of the Year as well as winning two awards at the RICS West Midlands Awards.

Bennett Architectural worked alongside Galliford Try  and Fielden Clegg Bradley Studios to design, supply and install Kawneer AA100 windows and AA720 curtain walling systems and achieve one of the highest levels of acoustic attentuation in the world.

Lionel Grant, Managing Director at Bennett Architectural commented,

“From design right through to manufacturing the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire was a complex project but seeing all the awards it has been nominated for, goes to show to quality of work from our team.”

All winners of the Architects Journal Architecture Awards will be revealed at an exclusive Gala Dinner at the Roundhouse in London on 4 December.
