Aluminium glazing specialists Bennett Architectural have been named as finalists in two categories for the National Fenestration Awards.

The Newcastle under Lyme based manufacturer is up for the Aluminium Company award, as well as Fabrication Supervisor Jake Hodgkinson who has been nominated for the Young Person of the year category.

The Young Person award aims to reward the vital young talent that works very hard day in and day out but doesn’t always get the column inches it deserves.

Jake joined Bennett Architectural in June 2015 as a Fabrication apprentice, and after showing real prominence in the role was rewarded with a Supervisor role within 18 months.

He has since gone from strength to strength, working on some of the company’s biggest projects including the ABCAM bio-medical campus and more recently the Grange University Hospital; the biggest off-site construction project Bennetts has undertaken to date.

Lionel Grant, Managing Director at Bennett Architectural commented,

“We’re delighted to nominate Jake for such a prestigious award. His commitment to his role and personal development are qualities we look for in every employee here.

“People really make the difference at Bennett Architectural.”

The National Fenestration Awards are specific for workers in the UK Fenestration industry, with 24 awards on offer.

Voting for all of the categories is now open until Friday 26th October, with winners all announced the following week.
